Tracking "Little Foot"

Project "Little Foot"

This section is where we house all of our data about "minisculus pedalus" or "Little Foot"

It is important that I tell you this: On my travels I have discovered a small boy-like creature that I call "minisculus pedalus" or "little foot". He is a by who I belive is related to "sausqautch giganticus" or "big foot". I am still gathering notes.

Dear Charles -- many thanks for the timely letter. Interestingly, we too have had an encounter with Minisculus Pedalus as well. We were recording to our phonograph prototype (we are thinking of naming it Victrola as the wax cylinder recorders produce a skipping noise and the idea of a circular disc would also be easier to replicate). But I digress... whilst we were recording Watson's voice, a small raccoon like creature ran past the window. At first we thought it was a squirrel, but it was larger and resembled a boy. It plucked a plum from our tree and ate it ferociously, almost foaming at the mouth. Regards, Thomas E

Great! I have heard stories of a 'boy like monster' who looks like us raccoons.... legend has it that this 'boy like monster' walks the woods near us. They call him, 'Little Foot'

I believe this is the so called "Little Foot"

A lot of forest creatures mention that they live in the "Little Feet" woods. I don't know if this has any correlation to "minisculus pedalus" or if it is just a coincidence, but I thought I should put it in these records.

Legend has it he is related to Big Foot. Folks round these parts call him, 'Little Foot'

I was hiking up in the hills above Cascade Falls a few weeks ago when I heard a strange cracking sound.  At first I thought it was a branch falling off a tree.  I turned towards the falls, and out of the corner of my I eye, I saw a blur of movement.  Naturally, I was startled as up to that moment I thought I was alone.  But I wasn't.  Hidden in the bushes, just a few inches from my face was a creature.  It had what looked like a Racccon head but with the body and face of a human. It saw that I had spotted him, and quickly darted away.  I grabbed my camera and took this shot of the creature as it dashed out of my view.  It moved so very quickly and ran upright on it's hind legs like a human,  then went down on all four legs as it darted under a cluster of fern leaves.  In a flash it was gone.

Photographs of the so called "Little Feet" woods.

In this last photo do you see the boyish creature lurking behind that tree? hmm.

Recently there has been a number of reports of Mountain Lion sightings in Marin County.  (See photo attached).  On concern that these animals might contaminate the Watershed, MMWD decided to contract a wild-life photographer to setup remote cameras along the hillsides above Cascade Resevoir.  These systems are video surveillance recorders that are triggered by infra-red sensors.  Anytime there is movement by a living creature, the camera system turns on and records.  Looks like the cameras got more than just images of Mountain Lions

Hi Guys

Here is the story from Raccoon, but with some annotations

There is a little boy with little feet who wanders this time of nightª
He has little feet, and raccoon ears like us but he is not one of us

He is kind to all creatures and repairs bird nests and beaver damsº
We like him and he likes us.

We call him "Coon Ears"

ªOf course raccoons are nocturnal so this story takes place at night. Receiving more information from Raccoon he told us that his Gran used to tell him this story before he went to sleep during the day. Now  with the 397 showing up he has grown accustomed to sleeping through the night, thanks to a lot of coffee.

ºIn this story "Little Foot" is a repairer of dwellings so maybe the forest creatures hailed him as a sort of savior. That is of course if indeed we are interpreting this "Coon Ears" fellow as "Little Foot"

With more research and Raccoinise translate,
The 397 team (and some raccoons we met in the woods)

Hey guys this is an ancient story roughly translated for Raccoinise

There is a little boy with little feet who wanders this time of night
He has little feet, and raccoon ears like us but he is not one of us (sorry for this kind of awkward grammar as I said "roughly translated")
He is kind to all creatures and repairs bird nests and beaver dams
We like him and he likes us.

We call him "Coon Ears"

From, Raccoon

Minisculus Pedalus: you are fast on your feet and are skilled at camaflauge. You can steal Cheeses and give that cat a run for his money.

I'm Scared

The Raccoons are growing restless. They say something is moving in the background and they say he is growing stronger. The only person we can depend on now is Little Foot. He is the one who will save us or destroy us.

When I was in my lab a heard a strange knocking noise in the back. I turned around to find that a boy-like raccoon thing had somehow gotten in. I ran to get my camera to take a photograph of the boy like beast. When I hit the button a blinding flash erupted out of the camera and I yelled "Oy!!!" it turns out I had taken a picture of myself.

I have found a small creature lurking by my theodolite, It appears to be a cross between a boy and a rodent...

Has Joseph Fraunhofer found Little Foot?

Something a bit unnerving has happened. It was a pleasant day, I had conducted my experiments in my laboratory that day and went for a lovely stroll with my son John in the evening. After John had gone to bed I heard a knocking, and when I went down stairs I saw a pack of raccoons in the front yard, they looked scared, which seemed quite unusual to me so I made a note of it in my journal. I hope that this event will become more clear later...

Sincerely,
William Herschel
